Progressing Mervyn Davies

I worked on Mervyn today, he's captured my attention and I'm eager to get him painted. He still needs a lot of tidying up, but getting there.

Mervyn Davies Bust

Sadly Mervyn Davies the Welsh Rugby star from the 70's  passed away this week. Such a charismatic and well loved sportsman I  couldn't resist starting a bust of him. He still needs lots of work and more hair, but it is a start.

New arms for Bens bust

 Sadly Ben received his bust the worse for wear, the box was a bit bashed up after it's trip across the pond and the Zombie Ben didn't look that great either, not that a Zombie should of course. Ben returned the bust to me and I've since remade the arms for him, also adjusting the positioning slightly at Ben's request. Now It needs a lick of paint and we'll try again. Hope the Postman is in a better mood this time?

Start of another Zombie bust for John. He has ordered two busts, the first being pretty well decayed. Just waiting for his response before continuing.

Custom British Soldier Bust

I've been asked to make five busts for some British Soldiers who are due to leave the service shortly.  The busts being a gift from their colleagues. It's a tremendous honour to be making them and I'm also enjoying the fresh challenge they bring.
 The photographs don't show the painting clearly, but I used a lot of ink washes on the skin, for the facial hair etc.
They will be mounted on black Onyx plinths when they're all done. Only another four to go for the beginning of March,,,gulp.

Bens Bust

Nearly finished this sculpt for Ben. His glasses and a copy of the Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks is left to do and a little touching up of course.
